Overview of the components used in the CCTV , detail construction of the camera and the detail construction of the DVR, Constructing of a video surveillance system.
Explain function of blocks and equipment required to implement a video surveillance system.
Practice-Understanding the facts about CCTV and its interfacing devices
Module 3: Types of Camera & their functions (6hrs)
Types of camera –bullet, dome and PTZ and the IP cameras as per the function and requirement
Practice-Understanding the various types of camera and their functionality.
Practice-Reassembling the camera & exam the parts of camera to understand their mechanism
Module 4: Lens & sensors (6hrs)
Classification of the lens and the image senor , its working and specification,Different types of lens and their utility.
Practice-Differentiate & select the best camera from the same group depending on the image quality being measured by TVL chart.
Practice-Selecting a camera for higher security application
Project -Phase 1 (10hrs)
Customer Requirement, Bill of Materials (BoM), purchase order (PO) and Procurement
Module 5: DVR (9 hrs)
Overview of the DVR its parts data cables , basic classification of the DVR board and connecting terminals.DVR as interface to view and record the image transmitted by a camera.
Practice-The function of various blocks of DVR.
Practice-The nodes for remote access of a CCTV camera / DVR.
Module 6: Principles of remote accessing (3hrs)
Remote access to data, classification to the LAN/
WAN networking .Explain the nodes for remote access of a CCTV camera / DVR.
Practice- Configuring the DVR with camera
Module 7: Install the CCTV camera (12hrs)
Know camera specifications such as focus, lens type, zoom To check the hardware
equipments before taking to the installation site,replace the hardware if there is any issue or malfunction is found while testing, Know different types of electronic surveillance products and functionalities, read the standard operating procedures.
Practice-To mount the CCTV camera so as to cover maximum area
Practice-To decide whether the camera requires any enclosure to protect from dust, vandalism and climatic conditions
Practice-To know camera specifications such as focus, lens type, zoom
Practice-To know controls of different options in camera such as rotation, speed of movement in pan/ tilt camera
Practice-To use stable mounting structure and ensure that is not disturbed by wind or rain which would affect the video quality
Practice-To decide on the height of camera installation according to the end purpose
Module 8: Setup the CCTV surveillance system(6hrs)
Overview of the software, different feature of the software and the setting of the software for the back up and monitoring system.
Practice-To install the appropriate software for IP network or remote monitoring
Practice-To enter the appropriate IP address to receive the video signals through IP network / internet
Practice-To connect all equipments and switch on to start the video capture
Module 9: Cables. (3hrs)
Specification of the cables, Interfacing the camera with the DVR with suitable medium depending on the wishing network / system if any.
Explaining and collecting tools required to set up a surveillance system
Module 10: Survey, planning & maintenance(3hrs)
Overview on field survey , planning according location of the site
Practice -Making a good site survey and identifying the location of the camera to be fixed.
Practice -Selecting the suitable camera depending on the coverage area required by the customer
