COURSE OBJECTIVE
- Introduction to the foundation and basic sciences of public health optometry with an emphasis on the epidemiology of vision problems especially focused on Indian scenario.
COURSE OUTCOME
At the end of the course students will be be knowledgeable in the following areas:
- Community based eye care in India.
- Prevalence of various eye diseases
- Developing Information Education Communication materials on eye and vision care for the benefit of the public
- Organize health education programmes in the community
- Vision screening for various eye diseases in the community and for different age groups.
