Module I: Materials and its specification(15hrs)

Introduction to precast concrete, Advantages of precast concrete blocks. Knowledge on materials used in precast concrete blocks, i.e. cement, fine aggregate ( sand ), coarse aggregate, admixture, pigment, types of moulds of precast concrete blocks.

Practice- Cement Tests : Strength Test, Consistency Test, Setting Time test, Soundness Test, Fine ness Test, Specific Gravity Test

Practice- Fine Aggregate Test : Gradation Test, Specific Gravity Test, Silt Content Test

Practice- Coarse Aggregate Test : Sieve Analysis, Specific gravity Test, Abrasion Test, Crushing Test

Module II: Grade Designation and Design of Precast Concrete Blocks(24 hrs)

Recommended grades of precast concrete  block for different traffic categories ( Non traffic, Light traffic, Medium Traffic, Heavy traffic and very heavy traffic ) as per code IS 15658 : 2006 .

Practice- Design of different grades ( M-30, M-35, M-40, M-50, M-55) of precast concrete blocks as per traffic conditions as per code IS 10262 : 2009.

Practice- Compressive strength test of precast concrete blocks at 7 days and 28 days as per code IS 15658: 2006.

Project -Phase 1(6hrs)

Design of precast concrete block as per different traffic conditions.

Module III: Green Concrete and its use in precast concrete blocks(15hrs)

Design of different grades of precast concrete blocks using Fly-Ash/stone dust and small pieces of plastic bottles ( Plastic bottles will cut in small pieces by our available Bio-Crux machine and  will take some percentage of coarse aggregate volume)

Practice- Compressive Strength Test of Precast green concrete Blocks at 7 days and 28 days as per code IS 15658 : 2006 .

Project-Phase 2(6hrs)

Design of precast green concrete block as per different traffic conditions.

Module IV: Landscape Design by Precast concrete Blocks(6hrs)

Practice- Design and develop a landscape by using interlock precast concrete blocks. Laying procedure of precast concrete blocks.
