This course introduces fundamental concepts and application of composite materials . This course is divided into 7 modules of advanced application of composites

Theory: 1 hour per week (Total: 21 Classes)
Practical: 50 hours (Practice is to be done in campus)

Practice 1: Preparation of polymer composite using solution casting techniques
Practice 2: Preparation of different polymer blends using BIOVIA materials studio
Practice 3: Preparation and characterization of Epoxy based Composite using Hand Layup method
Module II
Advanced Composite Materials for food packaging, Cosmetic and Coating Applications
Module III
Composite Materials for Catalytic, Agriculture and Environmental Applications
Practice 4: Synthesis of Graphene oxide by Modified Hummer’s technique
Practice 5: Preparation of Carbon quantum dots
Practice 6: Preparation of Silver (Ag) Nanoparticles
Module IV
Functional Composite Materials in stretchable electronics, Light Emitting Diode (LED), Automotive and transport industries
Practice 7: Determination of tensile strength of composite materials
Practice 8: Determination of relative Dielectric constant for a composite material
Module V
Advanced Composite Materials for Opto-electronic, Energy Storage and Solar Energy Applications
Practice 9: Determination of crystal structure for a given ceramic material by X-ray diffraction analysis
