Course Rationale
Digital Finance is
transforming the financial sector through innovations such as digital payments,
mobile banking, fintech, blockchain, and artificial intelligence. This course
provides students with an understanding of digital financial systems, financial
inclusion initiatives, regulatory frameworks, and emerging technologies. It
equips learners with the knowledge and practical skills needed to analyse,
adopt, and manage digital financial solutions in today's technology-driven
economy.
Course Objectives
- To provide a comprehensive
understanding of digital finance concepts, technologies, and applications. - To examine the role of
digital payment systems and fintech innovations in the financial
ecosystem. - To explore the contribution
of digital finance to financial inclusion and economic development. - To analyse the regulatory,
ethical, and cybersecurity challenges associated with digital finance. - To familiarize students with
emerging trends such as blockchain, cryptocurrency, artificial
intelligence, and sustainable digital finance
