Introduction about the Mushroom Production
Technology

Mushroom Production Technology is a skill-oriented
course that provides students with fundamental knowledge and practical training
in mushroom cultivation, production, post-harvest management, and
entrepreneurship. The course covers mushroom biology, cultivation techniques,
disease and pest management, harvesting, processing, and marketing, with a
focus on commercially important edible mushrooms. It equips students with the
technical skills and entrepreneurial knowledge required for sustainable
mushroom production and self-employment opportunities.

Course Objectives

1. To make the learners self-reliant to identify
several kinds of mushrooms.
2. To provide detailed hands-on training on mushroom cultivation, packaging and
marketing.
3. To develop a business plan on mushroom cultivation.
4. To help the learners to practice a means of self-employment and income
generation.
