Driving is an essential skill for all individuals nowadays. Acquiring driving skills from a professional training school is important aspect of safety to individual, vehicle and travelers on road.  Preventive maintenance of vehicle is another skill which can not be ignored.  Brushing up the knowledge of traffic rules, insurance aspects is also an aspect covered in professional training center.

 

 

Course Objectives:

 

· This course was designed to be the ultimate boot-camp for anyone who wants to master in driving skill.

· Driving Training in LMV of unemployed Youths who intend to be professional drivers.

·  Driving skills can include strong knowledge of traffic laws, maintenance knowledge and problem-solving skills.

· An overall idea of a testing Diesel Engine, its parts and check functionality it help to the person improve the technical skill.

 

Learning Outcomes:

 

  • It is applicable in both your personal and professional lives.

  • To drive Light Motor Vehicle safely & efficiently on public & private roads, following all Rule and regulations in force & giving no room for accidents that causing damage to other road users, public & private properties, passengers and goods being carried.

  • Drive vehicle following Traffic Regulations and maintenance of good road conduct

  • Can be self employed

  • A good driver minimize the accident.

  • Plan & perform basic driving skill and improve the knowledge of traffic rule and regulation.

  • Carry out the general servicing of vehicle components.

Module I

Introduction to a motor vehicle purpose, load capacity, number of wheels and axles, fuel used, major components of the automobile & Layout of an automobile, Description of internal & external combustion engines, Classification of IC engine, principle & working of 2 & 4 stroke diesel engine (Compression ignition engine (CI)) ,principle of spark ignition engine, differentiate between 2-stroke and 4-stroke  CI- engine  and SI-engine , Direct injection & indirect injection, Function of the automobile components, Function of the automobile components of  engine, Engine number codification, Engine parts(cylinder head, valve mechanism, camshaft, piston, connecting rod, crankshaft, timing gear)Construction & working principle of BS VI engine, Type of Lubrication system, Different components of lubrication system & it’s working principle(oil pump,filter,cooler), CRS & its Components and its working principle, what is Cooling system  & Components (water pump,thermostat,radiator,inter cooler), Working principle of different type of cooling system Components, What is  turbo charger & its operation, Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR)system, Working principle of Breaking and steering system

Driving  exercise for training  ground or off-road(1.Ability to correctly adjust his or her seat position and mirror.2.Basic skill required to drive at slow speed 3.Ability to perform the basic  manoeuvres of normal driving 4. skill to control the vehicle without difficulty.

Driving in Traffic

Driving in Traffic (1.Learner know the rule and has the skills to adept their driving to the changing demands of traffic 2.Learner know how to anticipate and choose appropriate speed 3.Learner know how to position and manoeuvre, taking other traffic into account)

 

Module -9        

 

Safe Driving

Learn the safety precaution during the drive, Learn what are the Precaution we can take in case of an accident.

 

Project List:

 

i) Prepare the different signs boards.

ii) reading out google map for different locations and finding all alternative roads to reach the location.

iii) Changing the engine oil and coolant as per SOP.
