COURSE NAME- REFRACTION TECHNOLOGY

COURSE CODE- CUTM3057

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  1. To understand the basics about Anatomy and Physiology of the human eye.
  2. To know about the different types of refractive powers of the eye.
  3. Covers the application of refraction technology in the field of eye care.
  4. Includes the principles, introduction and use of Retinoscope.
  5. Use of Auto refractometer and other instruments in knowing the refractive power of the eye.

6. Knowledge on different methods in Subjective Refraction

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to

  1. Handle the refraction tools
  2. Perform the refraction
  3. Know the status of the refractive error of the eye
  4. Perform the subjective refraction
  5. Finalize the refractive power of the eye.
