My academic training and research experience primarily in the field of life sciences enables me to be an effective faculty in the Department of Zoology. I have qualified CSIR-NET and GATE examinations. My research area is primarily related to the post-translational regulation of eukaryotic defensive genes. Our work has been published in the prestigious Journal “Plant Cell” (American Society of Plant Biologists). We can extend our research outcomes to reveal several unknown mechanisms in the field of immunity. I am equally interested in the field of aquaculture including pisciculture and animal biodiversity as evident from my publications. My past experiences as Assistant Professor in Zoology at Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneswar (NCERT) and research activities have built my confidence and an interest in teaching and I look forward to the opportunity to not only teach existing courses, but also work to develop new ones. I am excited to share and continue to explore this methodology and collaborate with department faculties to expand its potential.
